Clostridium in important genus of bacteria which includes most of human disease causing microbes. Most of these genera organism can produced toxins which can cause food poisoning in humans. Most of these organism form spores like endospores. Clostridia are susceptible to tetracycline and chloramphenicol treatment. These organism can be used to produce ethanol under anaerobic conditions.
