Both leptospira and treponema are spirochetes. Treponema pallidum is an imprortent organism that cause syphilis , a veneral disease transmitted through sexual contact. Leptospira cause the disease leptospirosis transmitted through contact with urine contaminated water of infected animals.

Both leptospira and treponema are spirochetes. Both are thin delicate spirochete. They have similar size about 10 micro meter long. Both are motile . Spirals are at regular interwals.
