Every phase of cell cycle has a particular duration.

Division phase in case of human cell cycle take one hour only and 23 hour is occupied by interphase.

G 1 phase take 11 hours in case of human

S phase take 8 hour

G2 phase take 4 hour

These duration ensure that the cell is fully ready before undergoing division. If cell is immature and undergo mitosis it would result in small size daughter cells.

Quick mitosis would result in small size daughter cell and can also result in genetic disorders in the daughter cell.
