As we have discovered a protein which is going to be used in detergent industry. For it to be made in higher levels, we have to take the help of recombinant DNA technology, in which the gene for synthesis of favorable protein will be isolated and then introduced into other host recombinant organism. This host system should have high copy number so that the protein can be made in higher organisms.

Only high level of purity is required, because high level of purity will have high protein activity. Any kind of impurities in the protein will lover the activity of protein and hence, the functionality.
