An amino acid is absorbed into the blood vessel from the small intestine. If this amino acid is used by an osteoblast in the left femur to make collagen. What type of collagen is this amino acid likely used for? List the major blood vessels and organs (names of the major blood vessels and organs in a sequential order) that this amino acid pass through before it reaches the osteoblast. If this amino acid passes through the heart, please specify left or right atrium and ventricle

Answer #1

Osteoblast are located in bone, the type of collagen produced for bone structure is Type 1, as it is a fiber type collagen.

The route from the small intestine to the left femur is: all the nutrients uptaken by the small instestine go to the hepatic portal vein, then they reach the live, then they get out this organ and enter the inferior vena cava, they reach the heart and enter it through the right atrium, the goes into the right ventricle. It exits the heart and goes to the lungs through the pulmonary artery, then into the pulmonary vein and back to the heart throught the left atrium and left ventricle. It goes down into the aorta, then into the iliac artery, then into the left femoral artery and finally into the left femur.

Select the MOST CORRECT answer. During the cardiac cycle... Blood flows from the right atrium, through the AV valve, and is pumped by the right ventricle into the pulmonary artery. The ventricular diastole occurs at the same time as atrial systole and atrial diastole. The second heart sound (S2, or dup) occurs just as the left ventricle reaches its highest pressure, which exceeds aortic pressure. Both a) and b) are correct and c) is incorrect. a), b) and c) are...
