Siblicide is a special character shown by some species, by which young ones are killed or harmed by animals of same species, it mainly occur when the resources for survival are limited. A parent cannot feed all of its offsprings when resources are not avaliable. It helps to remove competition amoung new individuals, helps in the development of fittest gene in a population. There are mainly two types of siblicide, they are obligate and facultative siblicide. Obligate behaviour finally result in death of offsprings, whereas facultative behaviour will not result in death.
