5.a. The thermal constraints can affect the metabolic activities along with the fitness-related activites. The ectothermic animals, such as reptiles regulate their temperatures by opting for certain thermal conditions to maximize their fitness benefit. The embryos of the reptiles are also capable to regulating theit body temperatures by moving within the egg to attain a body temperature that will allow them to grow healthy. One of the fitness benefit attained by this is increasing the chnaces of hatching survival.
