DNA chains are made up of deoxy- ribose sugar, N2 base and phosphoric acid.

Double-helical structure ia secondary structure of DNA given by Watson and crick. Each helix has length of 34 angstroms and has 10 base pair. Length between each base pair is 3.4 angostrom. The diameter of B DNA is 20 angostrom. Backbone is formed by sugar and phosphate.

The function of DNA in the cell is to synthesize polypeptides (by the process transcription and translation)necessary for survival and metabolism.

Eukaryotic cells have 80s chromosome while prokaryotic cells has 70s. DNA in eukaryotes are bounded by basic protein called Histone. Prokaryotic DNA found freely in cytoplasm.

RNA molecules are made up of Ribose sugar, N2 base and phosphoric acid.
