Explain how can we differentiate between the mesial and distal in the aspects of the mentioned teeth
1. labial aspect of of maxillary central incisor
2. lingual aspect of of maxillary canine
3. mesial aspect of of maxillary 1st premolar
4. occlusal aspect of of mandibular 2nd premolar
5. occlusal aspect of of maxillary 1st molar
6. occlusal aspect of of mandibular 1st molar

Homework Answers

Answer #1

1. labial aspect of of maxillary central incisor- the labial aspect of crown will look almost symmetrical and mesial side will have a straight outline while distal will be more curved that mesial.

2.lingual aspect of of maxillary canine- The distal marginal ridge is more prominent than mesial.

3.mesial aspect of of maxillary 1st premolar- a well developed mesial marginal ridge and a mesial marginal development groove is present. In distal aspect there is no development groove or depression.

4. occlusal aspect of of mandibular 2nd premolar- mesial and lingual profile is almost parallel than distal and also mesiolimgual side is shorter than distolingual side.

Hope this helps you. Thank you ?
