Monoclonal technology:-

Spleen cells of mice produces antibodies against the antigen injected into the body.

Cells obtained from cancerous tumor are known as myelomas

Spleen cells are mixed with myeloma cell which fused together and form hybrid cells.

Hybrid cells dividet o form clones called hybridomas. The selected hybridomas are cultured to produce large quantity of monoclonal antibodies

The method of production monoclonal antibody is called hybridoma technology

Hybridoma technology was developed by Kohler and milstein in 1975 and got Nobel prize for medicine in 1984.
