Ans- Gap gene is involved in the segmentation of the body mainly it form the 3 segments in body .Name of some gap genes are - Hunchback , Huckbein, Kruppel , Knirps , Giant , Tailless etc.Hunchback  is the premier gap gene of the segmentation regulatory network. It coordinates the expression of other gap genes, including Kruppel (Kr), knirps (kni), and giant (gt) in central and posterior regions of cellularizing embryos.
