the four chambers of the heart are at rest during the quiescent period?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Yes, the quiescent period is the relaxation time when all the 4 chambers of the heart are relaxed at the same time. The period of relaxation starts from the end of T wave till the starting of the next P wave.

During this period the valves of all 4 chambers of the heart are closed and the myocardium muscular layer wall of the heart relaxes. The time duration of total heart relaxation is 0.4 seconds and this period is also called the quiescent phase or quiescent period.

Suppose that during a recent 25-year period, there were four volcanic eruptions sufficiently powerful to reduce the amount of power generated by solar panels by at least 20% for a period of a year. Call these "ClassD20" volcanoes. Suppose that the return on investment from installing solar panels is often calculated over a 15-year period. What is the probability that, during a 15-year period, there will be two or more "ClassD20" volcanic eruptions?
