describe ways in which genetic diversity maintained and possible consequences to the central dogma?
Answer -
Genetic diversity is important for the purpose of adaptability. To adapt to a new or different environment their genetic material has to be diverse.
There are many ways through which the genetic diversity can be maintained -
1. Mutation- It is the change in genetic material, it can entirely change the alleles of the population.
2. Random mating
3. Recombination
These are some of the ways through which genetic diversity can be maintained.
The possible consequences to the central dogma are the synthesis of RNA from DNA which is the first process in central dogma called transcription and then synthesis of proteins from RNA to protein synthesis which is translation.
