Group of answer choices

primary

quaternary

tertiary

double tertiary

centenary

secondary

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Protein is made up of amino acids, and has four levels of structure. The sequence of amino acids is the primary structure of any protein. The secondary or next level of structure includes helix and sheets, formed as a result of hydrogen bonds.

The tertiary level of protein structure is formed as a result of interactions such as ionic bonds, sulfur bonds, etc. and the tertiary level forms a three dimensional structure. Further interactions among different amino acid chains gives rise to the final quaternary level of structure.

Thus, the correct choice should be:

When a protein is shaped into a globule or fiber by means of ionic or sulfur bonds, this is referred to as __tertiary__________ structustructure.
