a) Mitosis is a process in which the nucleus of eukaryotic cell divides.Each chromosome consist of two sister chromatids .During this process sister chromatids seperate from each other and moves to opposite poles of the cell in anaphase.

b)Meiosis is a process where a sigle cell divides twice to produce four cells containing half of the orginal amount of genetic information.During meiosis II, the sister chromatids within the two daughter cells seperate, forming four new haploid gamates.The mechanics of meiosis II is similar to mitosis ,except that each dividing cell has oly one set of homologous chromosomes.
