Type a 500-600 word response to this topic below:
The B cell response is largely associated with the generation of a tailored antibody response to combat pathogens. This involves a number of steps from the naive B cell’s from first encounter with antigen to becoming an antibody secreting plasma cell, secreting high affinity antibody of a useful isotype.
With this general theme in mind, paint a picture in word of the processes and interactions that occur in secondary lymphoid organs that result in the generation and secretion of high affinity, isotype switched antibodies.
At first i discus about the B cell
B cell:
B cells, also known as B lymphocytes, are a type of white blood cell of the lymphocyte subtype. They function in the humoral immunity component of the adaptive immune system by secreting antibodies.
Types
There are two types of B cells: Plasma B cells secrete antibodies which effect the destruction of antigens by binding to them and making them easier targets for phagocytes.
Secondary lymphoid organ :
Secondary lymphoid organs (spleen, lymph nodes, mucosal associated lymphoid tissue) provide the environment for the proliferation and maturation of cells involved in the adaptive immune response, for filtering and trapping antigens. They also provide the environment for cell-cell interaction and cytokine-cell interaction.
