Your instructor challenges you to design an experiment to test the mutualistic relationship between Rhizobium and its legume pea-plant partner. He provides you with radioisotopes of N2 and CO2 gases. What experiment can your group design that would show the relationship between the pea-plant host and the bacterium partner is mutualistic?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

You can make an experiment in which you give rhizobium CO2 and one with pea plant with N2 gas only they both die after some time now when you use rhizobium and pea plant as partner as rhizobium in the root of pea plant provide this combination with radioisotopes of CO2and N2 and after some time check for the isotopes you will find that pea plant which cannot use N2 alone will have amino acid of that radioisotope and rhizobium will have organic food with isotope of CO2.

There 3 exercises show that both of them live in mutualism as they share food with each other and cannot love without each other

The Relationship Between State Agencies and Nonprofit Organizations Introduction The relationship between government agencies and nonprofit organizations is the focus of increasing attention within the public administration community. Practitioners recognize that the organization of public services relies to a substantial degree upon what we have come to call third-party government (Salamon, 1981). Nongovernmental actors not only deliver government-funded services but also actively participate throughout the policy process. Often the third-party is a nonprofit organization. In the last decade or so,...
