Describe how the changing epigenome informs gene expression
can u tell me plzz in brief
the question is that how epigenome is changing from Gene expression ?
The epigenome is the group of chemical modification in the DNA and DNA associated proteins which affect gene expression.
There are mainly two types of chemical modification which alter the gene expression. First one is DNA methylation and second is Histone modification. DNA methylation directly affect the gene expression. In this process methyl group is attached at the specific sites of DNA by the proteins which turns gene in or off. Histone modifications indirectly affect the gene expression. In the process of histone modifications, histone proteins are modified either by acetylation or deacetylation caused by proteins which exposes the particular portion of the DNA to be expressed.
