Describe two types of postzygotic reproductive isolating barriers and the process by which such barriers may arise.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Post zygotic reproductive barriers are the one which play their role after mating of two species. They might be 1)Hybrid inviability and

2) Hybrid sterility.

Hybridinviability:

  • Hybrid inviability is a post-zygotic barrier, which lessens the ability of a hybrid to develop into a healthy adult.
  • This decreased health prevents flow of genes between the two species.
  • Process why it arrives: The hybrid inviability occurs because of the combined effect of parental genes. These genes obstruct the embryo's development further preventing the embryo's maturation.

Hybrid sterility:

  • Hybrid sterility is the condition where the adults formed after mating of two species, fails to develop gamete formation.
  • They remain sterile without being producing viable gametes.
  • Process why it occurs: The embryo is formed with mixed traits and this further results in formation of frail.

Describe the process of isolating a variable in a formula. In your opinion, what is the greatest advantage in isolating a variable in a formula? Describe the process in general terms first( outline the steps). Then, mention how earlier concepts apply to this process ( for example, additive and multiplicative inverses.) Give an example that shows each step in the process. In physics , many equations contain multiple variables and we can often solve for each one. For example a famous...
