Some pteriophytes are herterophores which have micro and megaspores that gives rise to male an female gametophytes and within the gametophyte the development of zygotes takes place so this events is an important steep in the process of seed evolution.

2. correct answer is D it carries nutrients to the growing regions of the plants

Plants have a two a traansport system where xylem transports water and minerals from roots to different parts of the plaants and pholem transports sugar and amino acids and other minerals from amino acids between leaves to other parts of the plants.
