Answer #1

In Snow pea plants, when the pods are nearing completion, leaves grows from the stalk of the plant .It is also known as snow pea tips or chinease pea shoots.Pea and stalk are edible. The snow pea leaves have an amazing flavour. It containms a waxt cuticle that prevents water loss.

Pea plant stem has tissues called xylem and phloem. This tissues helps in the transport of salts and minerals from the bsil to the different parts of the plant .As the plant ages the xylem will get harder and die.Phloem distributes glucose to all the different parts of the body from the leaves.

Pea plant is considered vas a legume. In the roots of the legumes contains a special structure called nodules.WQhen roots gets in contact with the soiul bacteria the bacteria produce nitrogen for the plants, which is a n essential mineral for the growth of plants.

A biologist examines the organelles present in the root cells, stem cells, and leaf cells of a green plant. She finds a high density of mitochondria and no chloroplasts in the root cells, but an abundance of mitochondria and an abundance of chloroplasts in the stem and leaf cells. Explain the fact that ll of the cells in the plant contain mitochondria, but not all of the cells contain chloroplasts. Explain how the availability of light affects this distribution. Predict...

A true breeding tall purple pea plant is crossed with a true breeding short white pea plant. Purple and tall are dominant. What is the genotype and phenotype of the F1 offspring. If two of the F1 offspring are crossed, what will be the phenotypes and genotypes of the F2 offspring? A tall purple pea plant is crossed with a short white pea plant. What will the phenotype(s) and genotype(s) of the F1 offspring be?

Suppose you cut open a leaf in cross section and observed stomata on both the upper and underside of the leaf. As what would you classify this leaf? Purple flowers (P) are completely dominant over white flowers (p) in pea plants. A plant that is heterozygous for purple flowers (male) is crossed with another plant that has white flowers (female). Use a Punnett square to determine the expected genotypic and phenotypic ratios for the offspring. What is the purple pea plant's genotype? What is the white pea plant's genotype? HYPOTHETICALLY: a) When a leaf disks are placed in the darl, they are still undergoing cellular respiration and they sink. While celular respiration consumes oxygen gas, it also produces carbon dioxide gas. Why do the leaf disk sink if the same molecules of gas are consumed and produced? Why do the leafs sink and what product of photosybthesis caused this? b) Theoretically, if you placed a plant in a sealed container and provided a light source, it could life out...
