who is one of the best homo ergaster researchers
Paleanthropologists Richard Leakey, Kamoya Kimeu and Tim White dubbed the 1.6 million year old specimen as KNM-WT 15000 and nicknamed it as "Turkana Boy". These scientists discovered the most complete Homo ergaster skeleton ever at Lake Turkana, Kenya in the year 1984. Richard Leakey is one of the best researchers and he is a Kenyan palaeoanthropologist, conservationist and politician. He has held a number of official positions in Kenya, mostly in institutions of archaeology and wildlife conservation. Leakey took the hominid discovery to be Homo erectus, which was found by Kamoya Kimeu, who is one of the world's most successful fossil collectors, but however Louis identified their discovery as Homo sapiens. It was the oldest of the species found at that time, dating to 160,000 years, and was the first find contemporaneous with Homo neanderthalensis.
