Can miRNA target useful mRNA transcripts in human beings?

Can you give a down to earth explanation/explanation? Or a decent hint at how to think about the question--I just don't get how to answer it.

Answer #1

Question is asking that can microRNA bind and degrades to useful mRNA transcripts?

Its simple answer is Yes.

  • For regulation of gene expression at posttranscriptional level it is useful.
  • This is also called as silencing of gene and its action by binding small 22 nucleotide long non coding RNA molecules to mRNA.
  • After binding unusual bonding of bases leads to degradation of miRNA-mRNA complex by some nucleases.
  • So in human MicroRNAs have been been demonstrated to play a major role in a wide range of developmental processes including metabolism, cell proliferation, apoptosis, developmentl timing, and neuronal cell fate as well as cancer.
  • So miRNA using gene regulation can be done by using miRNA to rwgulate growth developmwnt and cancer as well as some diseases.

Is there a significant sense in which humans are highly complex organic machines? Humans are obviously far more complicated than any computer or computer program nowadays, but those things are fast approaching what humans can do (and have surpassed human abilities in certain areas). Then when you study how human beings actually work, and how they do what they do, you realize that we have hardware (the stuff that genetics gets you) and software (education and experiences), inputs (interaction with...
