Advantages flower heliotropism;

  • The plant tracks light to enhance photosynthesis( the process of creating food from light).
  • Heliotropism also increases the flower temperature, which attracts bees and other pollinators. The rate of pollen germination increases by the rise in temperature.

Hypothesis

If the sunflower plant is allowed 4,6,8 or 10 hours of ultra violet light a day, then they will grow tallest in the 10 hours a day condition because the extra hours of light will sllow the plants to photosynthesize more carbondrate.If the sunflowers are provided with too much light (20 hours per week), then they will grow shorter than the other plants.Too much light can damage the plants.
