When the environment in warm condition water of the plant evaporates more rapidly. So plant close their stomata on the epidermal layer of leaves to prevent excessive water loss. As well as number of stomatal opening become decrease on the upper epidermal surface of the leaf.

Closer of stomata of leaves reduces CO2 uptale by plant as a result photosynthesis rate decreased. Sometimes plant shows CAM where leaf open their stomata at night to get CO2.

Leaves become narrow and modified into hairy, waxy or spine like structure to reduce the surface area of leaves to reduce loss. Thick cuticle on upper layer of leaf.
