The underwater light climate are broadly different depending on the depth and clarity of water. Seaweeds are often adjusted to this and therefore have different colouring. The red macroalgae is normally found in deeper areas where only blue light can penetrate and thus the red macroalgae reflects the red light.

Ans .(2) The fronds of seaweeds are very tough, and this is helpful for the survival of seaweeds. This toughness allows the seaweed to avoid being torn by strong waves of sea. It also helps the seaweed keep water inside and not be dried out completely by the sun.

The seaweeds has thick, rubbery stems that protect it from the corrosive sea water.
