You mix two of each Histone2A, Histone2B, Histone3 and Histone4 in a neutral solution with nothing else in it (no DNA), what do yuu expect to happen?

a) An octamer will form

b) H2A and H2B will dimerize, H3 and H4 will form a tetramer

c) Nothing will happen

d) H2A will dimerize with H3, and H2B with H4

Answer #1

Ans:

The answer to this question is An octamer will form.

Histone octamer:

Histone octamers are formed from two copies of the four core histones proteins such as H2A, H2B H3 and H4. These octamers are found at the center of a nucleosome core particle. And it is also known that at neutral pH when all these histone proteins two each come together they will form octamer.

Since all favourable conditions are present for histone octamer such as presence of histone proteins in duplicate and neutral pH. Hence all other options is not correct.

Therefore the correct option for this question is;

Option a (An octamer will form)

Why are type II endonucleases, instead of types I and III, preferably used in molecular biology? A. Endonucleases I and III use ATP and cut away from their recognition sites, but an endonuclease II enzyme does not use ATP and cuts within the recognition sequence B. Endonucleases I and III cut at only a few DNA sequences, whereas endonuclease II enzymes cut at a very large number of recognition sequences C. Endonucleases I and III are large, which causes highly...
