Answer #1

The interface between the neural and endocrine system is the hypothalamus.

The hypothalamus is small portion of brain situated at the base of brain. Hypothalamus is small in size but it is very important part of brain as it plays important role in releasing hormons and in regulating body temperature.

Growth stimulating hormones, gonadotropin releasing hormones, corticotropin releasing hormones are secreted by hypothalamus.

Hypothalamus is divided into three main regions. The anterior region is called supraoptic region, middle region is called tuberal region and posterior region is called mammilary region.
