The biological signaling system supports the idea that whole is greater than the sum of its parts because of the way by which each component part interact with each other. Signaling systems are present in multiple levels. The complex network created by the whole signaling system can never be attained equally by summing up the component parts of the system. The change in configuration of cell arrangement also plays an important role in creating the difference due to varying signal flow in the two cases.
