Toxicology is important in forensic medicine in the investigation of death due to poisoning ,drug use ,death due to alchol consumption,it helps in determination of level of a drug in postmortem specimens postmortem redistribution an the influence of putrification in a drug deposition.Used to identify the drug facilitated sexual assault.This toxicology helps to determine which toxic substances are present,in what concentration and propable effect of those chemicals on the person.

The poison are detected in blood ,urine,saliva samples they use different techniques to identify the chemicals in body fluids .
