The winning sperm will reach the female egg first and it will try to get into the sperm. During these period it will undergo some process for the sake of penetrating the outer wall of female egg, This process would be referred as the acrosome reaction. During this period the winning sperm will produce certain kind of enzymes like Hyaluronidase and acrosin which consume outer shell membrane and have a way to get into the egg cell. By these way the winning sperm will enter the cell and deliver its chromosome for reproductive process.
