Which of the following is not a feature for all of the Giant Planets? Select one

: a. Planetary rings

b. High equatorial winds

c. Liquid Metallic Hydrogen

d. Small interior moons

e. Large spherical moons

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The answer is option C

The interior of the jupiter and saturn only has the liquid metallic hydrogen core.

Uranus and Neptune — The ice giants have high densities and these planets are too dense for hydrogen to be a major component of their makeup (The Hydrogen only make up about 15 % of their mass). The hydrogen inside Uranus and Neptune is not in the metallic state because the hydrogen molecules are not subjected to the intense temperature and pressure required for the metallic hydrogen to form.

The Giant planets are the planets that have greater size than the earth. The giant planets of our solar system are Jupiter,Saturn, uranus and Neptune.

The giant planets or the Jovian planets are

  • Larger and massive
  • Are mainly composed of the Hydrogen,Helium and compounds of hydrogen
  • They have high speeds of rotation
  • Have a ring system around them
  • Have numerous moons.
