Answer #1

Meaning of precision medicine: Precision treatment means designing of medical treatment for individual patients based upon their characteristics to optimise therapeutic efficacy.

Purpose of precision medicine: There is variations in each individual genes, lifestyle, food habits and environment in which they leave. Based upon these variations each individual requires specific treatment plan or regimen which should be unique to that patient so that a proper therapeutic efficacy can be achieved. In other words we can say that treatment plan should be tailor made for each individual. Based upon the genetic and molecular information of the patient and disease a precise medicine is prescribed for maximum therapeutic effect and least adverse effects.
