Homework Answers

Answer #1

In running or any physical exercise after some point lactic acid start to accumulate in body which cause fatigue and pain in muscle

So more lactate threshold, later lactic acid start to accumulate in body and runner less likely to fatigue

So for good runner lactate threshold must be more

In case if jerry lactate threshold is 76% of Vo2 max

=76* 60/100

= 45.6 ml/kg/min

In case of Gary

Lactate threshold is 68% of VO2 max

68* 64/100

43.52ml/kg/min

So jerry will win race
