Answer #1

4th and 5th digit

  • Ulnar claw hand is deformity in lumbricals due to damage of ulnar nerve.
  • Medial two lumbricals are innervated by ulnar nerve.
  • Patient with median claw hand , shows symptoms with hyperextension of metacarpophalangeal joint and there will be increased flexion between proximal and distal interphalangeal joint on medial 2 fingers.
  • Hence , when patient with median claw hand makes a fist , 4th and 5 th digit remain open where as 1st , 2nd and 3 rd digit become closed.Because those digits are innervated by median nerve.
