1. Tidal volume : it is amount of air that a person can inhale or exhale during a normal breathing. Normal value is 500ml

2. inspiratory reserve volume : it is the amount of air forcefully inhaled by a person after normal inspiration. normal value :1900-3300ml

3. expiratory reserve volume : it is the amount of air forcefully exhaled by a person after a normal expiration. Normal value : 700-1200ml

4. Residual volume : It is the amount of volume of air that remains within thd lungs after maximal expiration. 1200ml
