The consensual eye reflex means the reflex in which light is shown in one eye and other eye's pupil also undergoes constriction. Pathway of consensual reflex:-

As clearly seen in this pathway, optic tract of the eye, in which light is shown, is relaying information to the Pretectal nucleus (Midbrain) and then it sends bilateral information.

If Pretectal nucleus (midbrain) is damaged, then consensual reflex will not be possible.
