Answer #1

B. Blood from the intestine travels to the liver in the hepatic portal vein.

C. Blood from aorta travels to the liver in the hepatic artery

D. Blood from liver travels to the inferior vena cava in hepatic veins.

The liver receives blood supply from two blood vessels namely hepatic portal vein, which carries venous blood drained from gastro intestinal tract, spleen and hepatic artery which brings blood from the heart via aorta. The blood which is received now travels through the tissues of the liver and empties into central vein of each lobule of the liver. The central veins combine and forms the hepatic vein that opens into inferior vena cava which carries blood to the heart.
