Explain how the respiratory system relates to metabolism within a cell?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Firstly I shall mention the concept of metabolism. Metabolism shall be mentioned as the overall chemical reaction which is happening in the body. The cellular respiration also has a chemical reaction happening. This chemical reaction can be simply said as O2 + Glucose H2O + CO2 + Energy. The energy which is produced by this chemical reaction is being utilized for performing several important activities. This oxygen which is mentioned here is supplied by the lungs and the heart while the circulatory system carries the waste product which is CO2 from the cells back to the lung and is excreted from the body through exhalation.
