The blood flow to a capillary in GIT can be reduced by Vasodilation of capillaries which would result into increased venous pressure.This occurs alternatively by the central nervous system regulation via vasoconstrictor neurons which innervates to the gastrointestinal tract by not responding to modulation of vasoconstriction in GIT.
This condition develops during excercise or any other stress the blood flow to gastrointestinal tract is reduced and is supplied to more vital organs like kidneys and brain.
