List, in the correct sequence, all of the heart structures that a single red blood cell will pass through as it travels from the inferior vena cava to the brachiocephalic artery.
Can someone please explain this in detail
The inferior vena cava drains blood from lower and Middle parts of body into the right atrium.
So, firstly the RBC will enter the right atrium. From right atrium, RBC will enter into right ventricle via tricuspid valve.
Form right ventricle, RBC will enter the pulmonary artery and reaches lungs.
From lungs, the RBC will enter the pulmonary vein and reaches left atria.
From left atria, the RBC goes to left ventricle by passing through bicuspid valve.
From left ventricle, the RBC enters the aorta.
Form arch of aorta, brachiocephalic artery arises. It is the branch of aorta.
