What is the difference between a naive lymphocyte and a lymphoblast?
Naive lymphocytes are those which contains fully developed receptors and yet not come across with any antigen. These are different from activated lymphocytes which can proliferate after coming across to the antigen.
Lymphoblast is a modified naive lymphocyte that has altered morphology and occurs when the lymphocyte is activated by coming across to any antigen which results in an increasing volume of nucleus and cytoplasm along with mRNA and protein synthesis.
