Generally 3 types of gastric glands are present,prominent from one other by the position and kind of secretion.Cardiac gastric glands are situated at the starting of the stomach,the intermediate or correct,gastric glands in the middle stomach region and pyloric glands in end stomach area.

Intermediate gastric glands will produce almost every digestive materials discharged by the stomach.These glands will constrict the tubules made of 3 main cell types ,they are Zymogenic ,parietal and mucous neck cells.The Smelling,tasting and just thinking about the food items can enhance the release of enzymes.
