COPD or chronic pulmonary lung disease are the diseases which restricts air flow and make it difficult to breathe This air flow may be due to abnormal inflammation in lung due to various particle and gases.

COPD includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

Due to restrictions of air flow, there is decreased transportation of gases in and out. Due to which there os increase in carbon dioxide in body and less oxygen in body. When the partial pressure of oxygen in artery is less than 80mm of Hg it is term as hypoxemia. And Yes, due to restricted air flow in and out in COPD it causes hypoxemia.
