List and describe the location of the three major muscle types.

There are three muscle type:

1. Cardiac Muscle : Cardiac muscle is made up of cardiocyte cells. They are short and thick. striated in appearance. Cardiac muscle is found in the myocardium , which is responsible for pumpof heart.

2. Smooth muscle: These muscles are found in the walls of hollow organs present in overall body. These muscles are involuntary in nature. Smooth muscles are located in urinary bladder, uterus , alimentary canal, artery walls.

3. Skeletal Muscle: These muscles are attached to bones and are voluntary in nature. They contain muscle fibres which are long cells. Skeletal muscle is striated in appearance. These are located in muscles which are attached to skeleton.
