Pennate means feathers. These muscles blend into tendon which runs through the central region of muscle for is whole length. In a bi pennate muscle have fascicles on both sides of tendon. We will have unipennate, bipennate, multi pinnate.
Parallel muscle: These types of muscles have fascicles they arrange in same direction as long as the axis of muscle.
Convergent: If a muscle has wide spread expansion over sizable area but thr fascicles come o a single, common attachment point his muscle is called as convergent.
Circular: These muscles are also called as sphincters. These muscles arranged as bundles of muscle fibers increase the size when hey relax, the size of the muscle shrinks when hey contracts.
