Agonist Muscle: They are the prime movers as the major force that is needed to complete a movement is provided bt agonist muscle.
Antagonist Muscle: They are those muscles which opposes the movement of agonist muscle. An example of agonist and antagonist muscle pair is biceps and triceps.
Synergist muscle : They help the agonist muscles to undergo the favourable changes in a movement. It helps in stabilisation of joint around which movement has taken place.
