1. Fontanelles are the sites of growth of skull, permitting growth of brain and helps to determine the age. If fontanelles fuse early, brain growth is stunted, such children are less intelligent. Last one to close is anterior fontanelle at around 18 months. { Anterolateral closes by 2-3 months, posterior closes by 2-3 months, posterolateral closes by 12 month's]
2. Medial wall of orbit is formed by:- frontal process of maxilla, lacrimal bone, orbital plate of ethmoid, body of the sphenoid bone.
3. It is a butterfly shaped bone. It contains sphenoid sinuses. It forms the wall of orbit. It has a depression called sella turcica which contains pituitary.
4. Foramen magnum is a large oval canal which connects cranial cavity and vertebral canal.
5. Maxilla is the bone present between the nose and the upper teeth.
