Why do we need salt when consuming glucose during a workout?

Answer: Intake of dietary glucose produces energy to the body and it enhance performance and reduce fatigue in the muscles. It also improves the performance level of the body.

But salt such as sodium is also required for workout because due to the workout there is increased in sweat production in the body. It leads to loss of fluids and electrolytes in the body the intake of sodium helps to replaces the body fluids. It also helps to bring recovery after the workout. So salt and glucose is required for workout.
