What are the stem cells for all non-lymphocyte blood cells?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Colony forming blastocytes are the stem cells for the non lymphocytic blood cells

The uncommitted pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells are the basic and the primary stem cell that cause the formation of lymphocytic as well as the non lymphocytic stem cells .

The uncommitted pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells will transform into commited pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells

  • The lymphocytic stem cells will specifically give rise to the lymphocytes as well as the natural killer cells in the body
  • The colony forming blastocyte will give rise to the rest of the blood cells other than non lymphocytic blood cells. The colony forming blastocyste will divide into 3 and form the colony forming E unit , colony forming unit - GM, colony forming unit- M . These will further divide into the specific blood cells other than the lymphocytic blood cells.

Pluripotent stem cells can transform into nearly any cell type in the body. Multipotent stem cells are more limited, but they can also differentiate into multiple cell types. Describe what needs to happen on the cellular level for a multipotent stem cell in the intestine, skin, or blood to differentiate into one of the specialized cells that make up these tissues.
